When the GST was introduced I required a new software package to run my accounts, and as my brother in law was an accountant he offered to demonstrate QuickBooks and MYOB. He was familiar with MYOB but had not run QuickBooks. After a little time looking at MYOB I could see that it was not capable of giving me the information that I required in reports and that it was lacking in its ability to manage stock, the way I needed to. We then looked at QuickBooks and found that it did all that I wanted, I have never looked back. Talking with many people in industry I find a general dissatisfaction with other accounting packages but find that for the small to medium sized business QuickBooks will show others a clean pair of heals. |
